Finance as a Second Language® for Executives Complimentary Preview – Lunch & Learn

Finance as a Second Language Lunch & Learn
In Hawaii’s competitive business landscape, many strong leaders reach a point where experience in their “first language”—operations, marketing, technology, product management, customer experience, or people strategy—is no longer enough to advance.

Think, Speak, and Lead with the Financial Logic Executives Trust

In Hawaii’s competitive business landscape, many strong leaders reach a point where experience in their “first language”—operations, marketing, technology, product management, customer experience, or people strategy—is no longer enough to advance.

Executive conversations increasingly rely on a second language: the financial logic leaders use to evaluate priorities, tradeoffs, and performance. Yet many accomplished executives were never formally taught this language.

Finance as a Second Language® (FSL®) closes that gap.

This is not accounting. It is how leaders apply financial logic to real decisions.

Finance as a Second Language® (FSL®) is especially relevant for leaders who:

  • Need to justify ideas and initiatives in financial terms
  • Want more confidence when financial questions come up
  • Seek greater credibility with senior leadership
  • Are strong in their function but want to increase their strategic influence

Join Toshi Shibano, PhD, on June 17, 2026 for this complimentary Lunch & Learn.

In this session, you’ll learn how his six-part executive program, beginning August 13, 2026, helps leaders think, speak, and act with financial logic—so they can explain decisions clearly, justify priorities, and contribute with confidence at the executive level.

In this one-hour Lunch & Learn, you will:

  • See how executives use financial logic to evaluate decisions
  • Learn how leaders connect their work to financial outcomes
  • Experience a live FSL teaching segment
  • Get a clear preview of how the full program builds confidence and credibility

“FSL is a game changer. Toshi turns intimidating financial conversations into clear, relatable language and helped me connect data to real decisions. I now contribute with confidence and support strategic discussions in a meaningful way.”
Nikki Battad, Director of Human Resources, HC&D
