We are hosting a special in-person experience of our popular Fundamentals of Supervision series! Register for the full series or by day to build practical supervision skills, connect with other professionals, and learn in an engaging, collaborative environment.

Course 5: Managing Conflict in the Workplace (FOS 5):

Wednesday, July 15, 2026 | 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.
This course will cover essential skills and strategies to equip supervisors in handling workplace conflicts effectively. Participants will learn to identify, address, and resolve conflicts within their teams through an in-depth exploration of communication techniques, mediation strategies, and other proactive measures.

  • Understand a supervisor’s role in recognizing and managing conflict 
  • Recognize sources of organizational conflict
  • Identify conflict behaviors
  • Discover strategies for conflict management and conflict prevention 

 

Course 6: Interviewing & Selecting (FOS 6):

Wednesday, July 15, 2026 | 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. (Lunch will be provided)

Attendees will learn the techniques to successfully prepare for and conduct an interview, including what to look for on an application form, how to ask appropriate job-related questions, and what questions to avoid that could be considered unlawful. Attendees will have an opportunity to create interview questions and practice the concepts taught in class.

  • Understand the importance of job descriptions within hiring
  • Evaluate the recruiting process
  • Learn how to prepare and conduct interviews
  • Discuss important factors to consider when evaluating candidates

Registration Fees:

*Attend by Day (2 Courses, AM/PM)
Member price for both courses: $130 per person
Non-Member price for both courses: $270 per person
Bulk discounts available for HEC members with 10 or more registrations.

*Lunch will be provided. You will have the option to select a vegetarian meal during registration.

Digital Certificates of Completion and Badges

Learners who complete all courses in this series within a 12-month period will receive a digital Certificate of Completion and badge to celebrate their achievement. By registering for this series, you agree to allow HEC to release your name and email address to a third-party digital credentialing service (Certifier) to issue your certificate and badge to you via email. If you do not want a Certificate of Completion or badge, please send notification to [email protected] prior to completing the final course in the series.

           
(The digital Certificate of Completion and badge are only given to those who completed all 8 courses in the series within an 1-year period of time.)

     *Click “Register,” scroll to the bottom, choose your lunch option, click “Save,” and confirm your registration.

Registration Deadline:

Registration will close at 6:30 AM on the day before the start of the series.

Cancellation and Class Switching Policy:

Cancellations must be made 7 days before the class date to receive a refund.
There will be no refunds for No Shows.
