HEC’s Website Conversion Will Be Completed by December 4, 2017

Out with the old and in with the new!  The final step in HEC’s website conversion will occur at the beginning of December.  The content and quarterly login procedures on the current website will be expired on December 1, 2017.  The content and individual login procedures on the new website will officially be accessible at www.hecouncil.org starting on December 4, 2017.
So what does this mean for you?  Most importantly, it means that company logins will no longer be accepted after December 1, and HEC will stop sending quarterly passwords to members for website access.   The only way to gain access to the member side of the website will be through individual logins.  All logins will be based on an individual’s email address and his or her unique password.
Over the past several months, HEC has been notifying members of the change to the website login procedures.  Many members have submitted an updated contact list authorizing which employees should be granted access to the member side of the new website.  However, there are some companies out there that have yet to provide that updated list.  For those that still need to take this step, please note that there are several access levels available for individual employees:
  • Contact Full Access - Users with Full Access permissions are employees from a member company.  They will have access to member privileged resources and register online for events with the member price.


  • Contact Registration Only Access - Users with Registration Only permissions are employees from a member company.  They will not be able to access member privileged resources.  The user will be allowed to register online for events with the member price.


  • No Access - No Access permission is given to non-members and can also be given to members.  Users will have access to the public side of the website but restricted access to the member side.  Users can register online for events that are open to both members and non-members but they will be priced at the non-member rate.  Users will not be allowed to register for members’ only events.    If permissions are not specified by the primary HR contact of the member company, the employee of the member company will default to “No Access”.   If this person needs to attend an HEC event with the member price, an employee with Full Access or Registration Only permissions can register other employees on their behalf.
