Do You Know if Your Company is Required to Develop an Affirmative Action Program?

Recognizing that organizations that do business with the federal government are sometimes confused about their obligations to comply with affirmative action requirements, the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) published an updated infographic reminding employers of their obligations.

The agency’s “Jurisdictional Threshold Cheat Sheet” was developed to assist employers in understanding their obligations under Executive Order 11246, Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA).  It does this by describing several components of federal contractor obligations including:

  • Specifications on basic (non-AAP) coverage for all OFCCP laws,
  • Inflationary adjustments for two of OFCCP’s laws, and
  • Contract amount and employee counts for AAP coverage under all OFCCP laws.
